Our Teachers Debi Franz is the owner of One World Montessori School, as well as the head Primary teacher. She received her Montessori Certification from London Montessori Centre, which is now known as Montessori Centre International, and a Professional Administrator's Certificate from Childcare Management Educational Services. Ms. Debi has taught in the Austin/Cedar Park area for nine years. She has a total of sixteen years of teaching experience worldwide in countries such as: Singapore, Dubai, Kuwait and Scotland. Ms. Debi says her experiences abroad made her more appreciative of different cultures, and helped give her a global perspective on any challenges she might face. Ms. Debi has taught in both public and private schools in addition to Montessori schools, but she has always dreamed of having her own school. Julia Lincycomb is our school's Director. She has five years' experience as an Assistant Teacher in Montessori schools in Austin, in addition to two years' experience as an Assistant Director. Ms. Julia received her Professional Administrators National Certification from Childcare Management Educational Services. Like Ms. Debi, Julia has spent most of her life living and travelling abroad. She loves just being around children, and believes that they have a lot to teach us. Ms. Julia lives in North Austin with her husband, Jon, and their many pets. Cynthia Langdon is our morning assistant. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M. Ms. Cynthia has eight years of experience working with children, three of which were spent working in Montessori schools. Ms. Cynthia is fully Montessori trained, and is now busy working on her Montessori Certification through North American Montessori Center. She lives in Leander with her husband, their two daughters Olivia and Charlotte, and the world's sweetest golden retriever.
Shanna Johnson is our Extended Day Coordinator. After graduating from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Ms. Shanna was introduced to Montessori teaching, and has come to have a great appreciation for its methods. Ms. Shanna is completely Montessori trained, and is working on her Montessori Certification. A mother herself, Ms. Shanna loves to watch children grow and learn. Ms. Shanna is especially gifted when it comes to teaching music and art to children.
Ms. Debi and Ms. Julia have known Shanna for many years, and are delighted to be able to work with her. Ms. Shanna lives in Round Rock with her husband, Jolen, their three year old son, Jaret, and their dog, Missy.
